Lightning Update

We found the location of the lightning touch down the other night. Turns out it hit one of our neighbors’ (Churchill/Claude Martin for all you Haitite readers) trees. Kelele, one of our employees, who also works for the Martin’s as their caretaker, was standing about 10 feet away when it hit. He was temporarily blinded from the light and said his neck and shoulders hurt for a while afterwards. The tree itself actually looks fairly okay with the exception of the blown off bark. Crazy!

About Leslie

I'm Leslie. Wife. Mother. Missionary. In the day to day my husband and I are responsible for running Clean Water for Haiti, a humanitarian mission that builds and distributes water filters to Haitian families. Living in Haiti full time provides lots of stories, and as I tell my husband, our grandkids probably won't believe most of them. Maybe writing them down will give me some credibility.
