Men In the Kitchen

We picked up Paul and Peter at the airport yesterday. Our first Vision Trippers. So far, so good. We like them :) They’ve been wonderful guests so far. Peter is a stellar table clearer and Paul is giving dish washing, Clean Water for Haiti style, a whirl. I am SO for it! Chris keeps laughing every time they volunteer to help out because normally he would be on dish duty. It’s how he shows his gratitude to me for keeping him so well fed.

We’ve enjoyed visiting and answering questions and just sharing our life here. This morning the people from Canaan, the orphanage up the road, came for water. They have 6 new volunteers up there. 3 from Canada, BCers actually. One of them lived probably 2-3 blocks away from where Chris lived before his family moved to the US. The other 3 are from various parts of the US. They’ll all be here for a few months. We’re excited because they’re all OUR AGE. Fun. We’ve invited them over to hang out on our beach etc when they need to get a break from things, so we’re hoping to get some good hang out time.

That’s about all I have to report. Tomorrow we’ll be jumping into everything filters and working out in the yard. Later in the week we’re going to try and take the guys into St. Marc for some little adventures and will show them around the area a bit.

Until next time!

About Leslie

I'm Leslie. Wife. Mother. Missionary. In the day to day my husband and I are responsible for running Clean Water for Haiti, a humanitarian mission that builds and distributes water filters to Haitian families. Living in Haiti full time provides lots of stories, and as I tell my husband, our grandkids probably won't believe most of them. Maybe writing them down will give me some credibility.
