Something to Talk About

Tonight I got an email from Vicki. She was concerned I’d been either too busy or just didn’t have anything to blog about. She was partly right. About the busy part. See, right now, as I sit here typing I am holding on my lap the most beautiful baby girl.

Blog world, meet Olivia Anne Rolling!

Chris and I got the call last Wednesday. We met her the next day. There were some things that came up, which I’ll blog about at a later date, and we picked her up this morning. She is lovely and amazing and the best baby.

I’ll write more tomorrow when time allows. Now, we’re heading off to bed to get some sleep :)

About Leslie

I'm Leslie. Wife. Mother. Missionary. In the day to day my husband and I are responsible for running Clean Water for Haiti, a humanitarian mission that builds and distributes water filters to Haitian families. Living in Haiti full time provides lots of stories, and as I tell my husband, our grandkids probably won't believe most of them. Maybe writing them down will give me some credibility.

  11. Oh, she is lovely. I’m so happy for the two of you. (I can’t imagine the transition you must be living in. That’s some FAST turnaround time!) Anyway, bless you in the days and weeks and years ahead. Hey, did you decide to nurse her? How is that going? (I used to be a nurse, so I actually think about these things.)

  12. Congratulations – I add my request for God’s blessing:That she may grow strong and healthy, that she be filled with compassion and able to communicate humbly and with confidence, and know that the Lord and Creator of all the peoples Loves her and is always, always, with her.

  15. I seen to remember a recent post about patience, and OUR lack of it. how God works in HIS time and not ours, and we usually don’t like it. You said, I believe, you were giving it up to Him to take care of, and you didn’t think it would happen soon. What great surprises God has for us when we surrender. Congratulations to you both, God’s blessings on everyone.

  16. Yeah! Congratulations Chris and Leslie on your beautiful little girl, Olivia. I’m sure the days ahead are filled with precious memories. :) -Kris
