Wow you lucky people, you.

More than one more post. You have really scored the blogging jackpot!

I just thought it was worth going on the record with the info that this morning we saw all time lows of 70.5 F after about 18 hours of rain from Tuesday night to Wednesday afternoon. We hadn’t had that much rain all at one time this entire year, not even during the rainy season. It was fun! We were walking around in pants and socks and slippers and sweaters. We ate soup and sandwiches yesterday because it was the most comforting food, not because it was the only food we had! It felt like winter! We drank hot chocolate. Things are sunny again today, but slowly warming up. We are slowly taking off the layers and things are slowly drying out. The nice thing is that everything looks so green and the dust has been pushed down for another few days.

On another note, the grandparents Rolling arrived yesterday in good form. Olivia is having SO much fun with them and that is the best gift anyone could have given Chris or I this year. I got to talk to my parents yesterday too and it was fun to hear Olivia say, “I love you Nanna, I love you Papa”. And her attempt at Merry Christmas was “Mas”. :)

We hope you all have a wonderful Christmas Eve and Christmas Day!

About Leslie

I'm Leslie. Wife. Mother. Missionary. In the day to day my husband and I are responsible for running Clean Water for Haiti, a humanitarian mission that builds and distributes water filters to Haitian families. Living in Haiti full time provides lots of stories, and as I tell my husband, our grandkids probably won't believe most of them. Maybe writing them down will give me some credibility.

  1. Merry Christmas to you guys from here in Albania! We were at 70 degrees here yesterday too! Pretty unusual for us! We were in short sleeves and no jackets for most of the day. Have a fantastic day and hug all of the fam for us!
