About Leslie

I'm Leslie. Wife. Mother. Missionary. In the day to day my husband and I are responsible for running Clean Water for Haiti, a humanitarian mission that builds and distributes water filters to Haitian families. Living in Haiti full time provides lots of stories, and as I tell my husband, our grandkids probably won't believe most of them. Maybe writing them down will give me some credibility.

  1. Leslie, Were Nels an Gail and their boys in Haiti when the earthquake hit?? they were a great help to us the last time we were in Haiti and we are thinking about them.

  2. This interview is well worth listening to in its entirety. Thank you Chris for your total honesty and for revealing your emotional vulnerability. Your time digging in the rubble is life-changing and has exposed the deep compassion you have for the entire nation of Haiti, despite the difficulties and persecution you have undergone. We both love you so much. Stay safe and keep doing what you do to save lives in Haiti long term through providing a cheap source of sustainable potable water.

  3. That was a great broadcast….and I’m sure it isn’t easy for you to relive that moment. After hearing many stories from survivors, you realize God had lots of angels holding up walls, making air pockets and placing rescue workers in just the right places. You were definitely one of those angels on that day. God bless you in the days ahead. We are still praying for all.

  4. I am Cindy Wright’s Mom. (Matt’s mother-in-law). We have been following your blog and other links provided by Sally. We feel we almost know you. We are praying for you and your family as well as Haiti. You are doing a wonderful work there. Olivia is a beautiful child!
