This, this is me whining.

So, for the record, it’s 6:41 am and it’s 81F with 89% humidity.

In case you want to know what that feels like, it feels like this. When you wake up, after not sleeping well because even the overhead fan going full force is not cooling things down, you feel slimy. And when you take a cold shower to wake yourself up and wash off the slime, five minutes later you find yourself standing still and feeling like you’re in a slow cooker. Or a bowl of soup.

We’re eagerly stalking the weather websites to see if there’s even the slightest chance of rain in our area today. The jury is still out. The thing that adds insult to injury is that other areas all around us, even 5 minutes down the road, have gotten rain recently and we have gotten NONE. Not. Fair.

About Leslie

I'm Leslie. Wife. Mother. Missionary. In the day to day my husband and I are responsible for running Clean Water for Haiti, a humanitarian mission that builds and distributes water filters to Haitian families. Living in Haiti full time provides lots of stories, and as I tell my husband, our grandkids probably won't believe most of them. Maybe writing them down will give me some credibility.
